Approve the garment and removable power system as separate, traceable parts of one project. Define the intended use and destination-market requirements, agree what must be removed before care, then test the buyer-approved sample and record the exact component revisions. The image is an AI concept, not a catalog product, test result or factory record.

01

Define the system boundary

An RFQ should identify what is supplied with the garment and what the buyer sources separately.

Record heating zones, controller, connector, power-source responsibility, expected use period, operating conditions, user instructions and destination market. Do not infer runtime or compliance from a fabric description.

Specify the exact removable parts and the state in which the garment will be washed. Resolve those choices before quotations or sample comparisons.

02

Approve garment and power components

Review fit, cable routing and each powered component against an agreed sample and evidence plan.

Check connector location, strain points, pocket access, layer interaction and wearer mobility on the specified size. Separately agree the applicable electrical and market requirements, responsible test party, report scope and acceptance criteria.

Link the approved garment pattern, fabric lot, heating element, controller, connector and power source to one revision record. A different module is not automatically an approved substitution.

03

Validate care and changes

Care instructions must match the actual removable-module configuration and the buyer's laundering process.

Agree module removal, connector protection, permitted care method, drying and reassembly instructions before a care trial. Inspect the garment and function after the buyer-defined cycles; do not claim washability without that evidence.

Before bulk release, record unresolved tests, responsible owners, approved artwork and packing instructions. Any material, wiring, connector or module change requires an agreed re-approval route. Share the project brief for a sample and inspection proposal; commercial terms are confirmed per order.

Buyer brief checklist

  • Intended climate, wearer, duty cycle and layer stack
  • What the supplier supplies versus buyer-sourced power
  • Heating zones, controls, connector and routing drawings
  • Destination-market requirements and test responsibility
  • Sample sizes, fabric and component revision identifiers
  • Module-removal, washing, drying and reassembly instructions
  • Buyer-approved care and functional trial criteria
  • Change-control owner and bulk-release evidence
